Game 16 vs. Embro
A rare Tuesday night game was the first of three games in the last week of the regular season. The Embro Edge was the opponent on this night, coming to St. Jacobs on a cold winters night.
The Wildcats were in good spirits, even with Turner & Liam out for this game. A few adjustments were made, and we were ready to go! Good effort came right off the hop, as our boys took charge of the game. But the 1st period came to an end with a scoreless tie.
The 2nd would see some constructive words from our coaches, and they worked! Two and a half minutes in, Nolan popped in the first. The very next shift, Ryan S. put in another. Mac followed up with another, and it was 3-0. The momentum gained speed as a good rush up the ice, gave a big rebound out front for Logan to put in the forth goal of the period. Things were going great, but Embro came back with a couple of quick ones to close the gap to 4-2. With he last shift of the period, Mac banged in 1 more to end the 2nd, 5-2.
"Keep it Going Guys" was the call, because nothing was won yet. The Wildcats rushed up the ice, And Braxten got the 6th goal. The Embro came right back with one of heir own, making the score 6-3. The period would continue on that way till the last seconds of the game, where Mac would flip on up & over the goalie to finish the game, 7- 3. A big win for a Tuesday night.
