Timekeepers (Woolwich Minor Hockey)


The minimum requirements for all timekeepers is as follows:

  • Timekeepers must be a minimum of 13 years of age to time keep for WMHA games (as of August 31, 2021- NO exceptions)
  • Timekeepers must complete the online application form to be considered. Acceptance is not guaranteed. All applications will be reviewed and a reply will be provided to notify the timekeeper of a successful application. 
  • Upon acceptance, new timekeepers are required to successfully complete a certification program. This program will be scheduled in early September and is mandatory for all timekeepers as we are going to electronic game sheets this year.
  • This position requires considerable commitment by the timekeeper and if under age 18, their parent or guardian also. This position requires punctuality, personal skills, good conduct, rules knowledge, timing device operation and game sheet accuracy.
  • It is preferred that you do not have a part-time job at another location. 

Timekeepers must block their time in the online Game Official portal on a bi-weekly basis and will then receive automated notifications for timekeeping offers that they must accept or deny. Note that consistent denial of offers may result in removal from the list of available timekeepers.  

Cheques are cut on a monthly basis and can be picked up at the hockey office.
