REGISTRATION - FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS


Q. When does registration open for this season? When does registration close?

A - For the 2022-23 Season, Registration will open on April 15th, 2022 and will close on or around September 16th, 2022. 
The WMHA reserves the right to close registration at any time, for the purpose of team and divisional balancing.

Q. How do I register:

A - In order to register for Woolwich Minor Hockey, you must do so online on the Hockey Canada Registration system. The registration link is HERE.

Q. What if I can't register online? I keep getting error messages and/or I can't access my account because I forgot my login/password?

A. Unfortunately, we cannot help you troubleshoot your access to the Hockey Canada website. For privacy purposes, we don't know your User Login and we don't have access to your password.

There is a password reset option on the Hockey Canada Registration page. 

Q. What forms of payment do you accept?

A. We accept payment by credit card, E-transfer or cheque. WE DO NOT ACCEPT CASH. E-transfers should be sent to: [email protected] 

Q. I  registered my child to play hockey but now he/she has decided they do not want to play - can I get a refund?

A. Prior to the season start date, you are entitled to a full refund minus a $20 administration fee.

On/After September 2, 2022 - Refunds will be provided on a pro-rated basis, based on the date of withdrawal minus a $20 administration and $50 insurance fee ($70.00 total).

On/After December 15, 2022 – No refunds

Q. Okay, I have registered - now what?

A. Please check our website regularly - we will be posting information regarding the start of the season, in mid to late August.

Q What night/date/time/location will be child be playing?

A. We will not know the schedule until mid to late August. We understand it makes it difficult to plan other activities for your child when you don't know their hockey schedule. Unfortunately, with 38+ teams and over 550 registrants in multiple leagues, there are a lot of moving parts and it takes time after registration closes and all payments are received and cleared (after August 1st), for us to get the schedules organized and approved.

Q. The hockey season begins in two (2) weeks and I have not heard from a Coach or Manager to let me know when my child begins playing?

A. With 550+ Registrants in our system, our Volunteers are not able to contact each individual personally prior to the beginning of the season.

We strongly encourage you to check our website regularly for schedule updates and information.

Once your child has been assigned to a team, regular email/phone communication will commence between you and your Coach/Manager.
