Playoff games 1 & 2
Our Wildcats would start off the weekend with game 1 against Twin Centre. Game 2 would be against LL#3 on Sunday, and both games would be great battles.
Saturdays game would be a 'see saw' event again, with no goals in the first. In the 2nd, Mac would get the first goal of the game. The period would end 1-0. Our boys would continue to work as hard as they could, but unfortunately, the energy would run out. Three unanswered goals in the 3rd would be a win for Twin Centre. Final score 3-1.
Sunday match would see our boys get out to a 2-0 lead in the first period. Goals by Logan & Braxten would get a good start in the right direction. Period 2 would let LL#3 back into the game with two goals of their own, making for a 2 all tie. Into the 3rd, both teams worked up & down the rink, and Mac would get one in at the midway point, 3-2 for us. LL#3 answered right back within a minute, and it was tied once more. With 2:20 left, LL#3 would get the lead & keep it to take a 4-3 win away from our guys.
Two hard worked games would not bring the results hoped for in starting the playoffs.
