Game 10 vs New Hamburg #1
Game time came late on Saturday, with a start time of 5:30pm. The arena seems empty, but our guys were full of energy to play against the 3rd Huskie team. The Wildcats were going to have to work hard for this one.
Period 1 began with plenty of skating and shoots, but the first goal would go in for us at the mid way point. A shoot in by Liam M., left a loose puck for Mac to hit once, and for Nolan to smack twice, to get the 1-0 lead.
The game would be a hard working, back & forth affair for the second period, with not a goal to show for. Little did anyone know, the 3rd period would hold much in store.
Puck pursuit was still being pushed from the bench, but skating seemed to be fading. The Huskies continued to do their part, but the next goal would go to the Wildcats. At 12:32, Aiden would make a pass to Braxten, who made a good shot make the lead 2-0. Two minutes later, Mac put us up 3-0 unassisted. The next shift saw Braxten go in for his second of the game, taking the lead to 4-0. The Benham brothers would combine for goal number 5, and the game seemed well in hand. New Hamburg would come up with a goal late in the period to ruin a shutout for Conner.
Final Score 5-1. Player of the Game - Ethan Murr
