ATOM AE BOYS GET FIVE OUT OF SIX OVER WEEKEND
  The Atom AE Cats had three tough games over the weekend, Friday venturing out into the Snake Pit in Arthur to play the first place Vipers. Saturday at home in The Lair bringing in the Huskies via dog sled from New Hamburg and then Sunday again at The Lair coming down from The Devils Den the ferocious li'l" Devils.  

ARTHUR 1  WOOLWICH 2
  The Cats arrive at the Snake Pit ready to charm the Vipers into submission. Coach Wildcat giving a great speech "It's their rink, it's their ice and it's their town but tonight we have our fans with us. If you need to hit them you hit them, if you need to stick them you stick them and if you need to bleed on them you bleed on them let them know you are there. Let's go out there and de-fang these Vipers." The Cats come out with a roar in the first and an evenly matched period played. The first period ends with no score. Start of the second the puck in the Vipers zone with a face off to the right of the goalie Lucas "The Menace" Radler sets up his boys winning the faceoff straight over to Mitch "Big Red" Hartman labels a post card saying "eat this garter snake" and blasts it past the goalies trapper going up 1-0 at 9:20in the second. The Cats continuing to pounce on the Vipers. Half way through the second the Cats pressure became to much Sam "No Fear" Goebel gains control of the puck looking like a young Gordie Howe busts up the ice with a pass to Lucas "The menace" Radler who snakes through the defense passes over to "Soft Hands" Seb Garrett roofs the puck top shelf "where grandma keeps the peanut butter". This putting the Cats up 2-0 at 6:28 in the second. They continued to battle hard the rest of the second and into the third like a see-saw from one end to the other Quinn "The Wall" Brown standing on his head to keep the puck out of the net. At the 2 minute mark the Vipers get a break a loose puck squeezes through the Cats "D" and is picked up by the Vipers who go in on a breakaway "The Wall" stacking the pads and a deek the puck just squeezes through making it 2-1 Cats at 2:08 in the third. The Cats battled tooth and nail the last 2 mins of the game biting, scratching. holding what ever it took to keep the puck out of their end. Horn blows Cats win over the first place Vipers 2-1 de-fanging them in their own barn (Snake Pit). The 2 Best things about Arthur are beating Arthur in their own barn and getting the heck out of Arthur.

  The Pound Puppies visit the Cats Lair arriving by Dog Sled. This one was the old fashioned Cat versus Dog fight. Which are sharper the teeth or the nails? The Cats pounced all over the puppies and clawed their way all over the Huskies end. The dogs looking out matched by the dog eating Cats. A mistake made in the Cats end coughing up the puck like a hair ball the Huskies get a shot on goal beating "Bigfoot" Berti and going up 1-0 at 3:44 in the first. The second was very shaky as The Cats laid back The Huskies came out barking with shot after shot the Cats struggled and "Bigfoot" making save after save keeping the Cats intact. The score still remains 1-0 after two periods for the dogs. The Cats putting on the war paint for the third and roaring back The dogs reacting with their tails between their legs, The Cats pounce on a loose puck Sam "No Fear" Goebel sends a heat seeking pass through the middle to "Soft Hands" Garrett which in turn breaks down the ice and wrists one past the Huskies goaltender like he was a statue with the game tied at 1-1 at 5:30. The game ending tied and the Cats get one point from the second place Dogs sending them home without a bone.

  Back at the Cats Lair the li'l' Devils come spinning their way into The Lair. With a little G'N'R pounding through the speakers and The Cats "Welcoming the Devils to the jungle" they have some fun and games planned for these Devils. With hearts a pounding and Claws a sharpened The Cats looking ready as ever. from the drop of the first puck the Cats pounced hard on the Devils leaving them no breathing room. The puck dumped into the Devils end the "Jr. Wildcat" jumps on the puck with a little stick handling in the corner throws the puck high slot to the "Big Dog " Siopiolosz who fires the puck past the Erin goalie almost putting it through the net and going up 1-0 at 7:57. Three mins later The Captain, not Morgan "Bonzey" Waters breaks through the cats blue line with moves like Jagger, not Meister passes to the Cole "Digger" who breaks wide of the "D" shooting the puck on net "Big Dog" busts to the net and slams home the rebound with the 2nd of the night making it 2-0 at 4:59 in the 1st. The second period the Cats keep tightening their choke hold winning every battle and faceoff. With a little give and go action in the Devils end "Jr. Wildcat" passes to "The Digger" who passes back to the "Jr. Wildcat" who again finds a open Sam "Big Dog" out front with a pass the "Big Dog" slams home his third of the night getting the Hat Trick and going up 3-0 at 4:16 of the second. mins later Keith the "Freak" bolts through the "D" slams the puck in the corner to "Big Red" Hartman who in turn dumps the puck to "Jr. Wildcat" and with some Ovechkin like moves splits the wingers and beats the Devils goalie Five hole making it 4-0 after two periods. The Cats going for the jugular in the third "Brewy" and no he is not drunk breaks out of the Cats end. busts down the side goes wide on the "D" drops the puck back to "Jr. Wildcat" who shoots on net "Digger" pounces on a big rebound and shovels the puck into the heart of the net going up 5-0 at 12:37. The pressure continues and with one last slash and the teeth sink in, Mitch "Big Red" Hartman busts in the Devils end for the puck passing to the "Jr. Wildcat" who in turn finds "Soft Hands" and lands the fatal blow into the Devils net ending the game 6-0 for the Cats.
Great weekend boys and some mentionables "Big Dog" Hat Trick "Jr. Wildcat" 5 points and "Digger" 3 points Shutout by "The Wall".
Everyone did their job great game by all.
