OOOH Scarey The Devils are coming to town.
The Devils crawled out of the Fire pit in Erin Sunday and paid a little visit to The Wilcats Lair. The visit was a short coming of sorts. This would begin the long awaiting battle of the round-robin league playoffs of the Atom AE Tri-county Russell Division.
The Atom AE Wilcats came out Sunday ready as ever, looking to redeem themselves as top of (pack, the pride, the rhumba and the gang). With an upsetting but close OMHA playoff. The Wilcats sharpened their claws and have worked on their roar. The game started strong with play in the Devils end The Cats struck first but a goal called back the score still 0-0 in the first. At the mid way point of the first the Devils get control and break in on The Wall Brown. Brown makes the first save put can not control the rebound. The Cats "D" can not clear the puck and the Devils put the puck past The Wall going up 0-1 at 4 mins in the first period. The period played out and remained 0-1 Erin. The second period things were a little different the hard pouncing Wilcats dug hard in the corners and mid ice. Cole Digger dumps the puck in the Devils zone, the puck picked up by Wilcat Jr. brings the puck around the net saucers a pass through traffic on to the Big Dogs stick who roofs it past the goal keep making it a 1-1 game at 8:30. Still out playing the Devils the Cats keep working hard With a shift change Wilcat Jr. battles keeping the puck in the Devils end. With Soft Hands Garrett driving towards the net Wilcat Jr. feeds Soft Hands a pass in the slot. Soft Hands spins around a check and wrists one topshelf where Grandma keeps the peanut butter and going up 2-1 after two periods. The third the Cats were prepared and ready to sink their claws in deep. A minute into the third Bonzey Waters dumps the puck into the Devils corner The puck picked up by Gavin Wilcat Jr. who passes back to Cole Digger who in turn passes back to Wilcat Jr. looking like they were playing with their food before the final slash. Wilcat Jr. finds Sam Big Dog Siopiolosz all alone out front who slams home his second of the night. The Wilcats go up 3-1 at 13:59. the third the Cats toyed with the Devils and at a 1:18 The Nightmare Cousineau battles behind the net takes the puck into the Erin corner throws a laser pass out front off Lucas the Menace Radler's Skate and into the net making it a final blow and winning 4-1. A Great comeback game for the Wilcats after a tough couple losses last week. Coach Wilcat will be allowed back on the bench Thursday after serving his 3 of 3 game suspension. The Battle at The Dog Pound Thursday against the Flea bitten Mutts of New Hamburg. Get ready Huskies the Wilcats are ready to pounce and roar their way to a big win.
