THE FLAMES ARE PUT OUT IN THE DEVILS DEN
The Wildcats traveled to the far north Wednesday Nov 27th to face off against the Li'l' Devils from Erin at the Almighty Devils Den. As the Wildcats entered the building you could feel the tension in The Den. You could cut it with a knife. The Cats were prepared, with some bad luck the past few weeks they were due for a big brawl.
Off the start the Cats pounced on their prey like they have not eaten for weeks. With the puck in the Devils end they battled hard. With play in the neutral zone, the puck squirts loose and Cole The Digger launches himself on a breakaway. The Devils "D" Hacking away at his ankles like a piece taken out of the movie Young Blood The Digger gets his feet taken right out from under him. Ref Hannigan making the correct call with a penalty shot awarded. Cole Digger like the (Dean Young Blood) goes in with confidence and jacks one in the top shelf where Grandma keeps the peanut butter going up 1-0.
In the Second Coach Wildcat advised his Pride that one goal was not going to fly. A rough and tumble second began like a WWE wrestling match bodies flying every which way, sticks swung like a sword fight and nothing being called Ref Hannigan forgot his glasses for this period. At the 7 minute mark The Nightmare Cousineau busts down the left wing with spinarama the Nightmare passes the puck to The Big Dog who shots a cannon blowing it by the Devils goaltender who never even sees it going up 2-0. One in a half minutes later The Menace Radler picks up a stray puck in the neutral zone fandangles his way through the Devils "D" with some fancy stick work goes in on the Devils goal with The Menaces mesmerizing moves slides one past the goaltender making it 3-0.
The goals just keep a coming in the third period. 30 seconds into the third Shantzy and The Menace playing a little give and go in the corner and Cole Digger playing the high slot gets a pass from The Menace who retrieved it from Shantzy The Digger buries his second of the night. At the nine minute mark Soft Hand Garrett makes a terrific center ice check and picks up the puck going in alone on the Devils net minder roofs one over the glove hand going up 5-0. Adding insult to injury The Menace and Shantzy playing a little keep away down the right side of the rink feeds the puck to Brewy who scrambles down the right side of the ice busting through the "D", driving for the net and with a booming back hand beats the goalie blocker side ending the game 6-0.
The Cats breaking their 6 game slump with a powerful win and never showing mercy on the Erin Devils. The Flames are put out in the Den for another night. great job boys lets keep up the hard work.
