Game 3 vs, Ayr Flames #3
Our Wildcats waited till the afternoon for their game this week, taking on the Flames. With the game scheduled to be on the Snyder Rink, there would be lots of ice to skate and an opportunity to try for a second win.
Getting a good start again, the first shift took the puck off the face off. There she was again, Brienne B. taking it to the net and scoring! A early 1-0 lead. The first period would begin fast, but settle in for many back & forth chances for both teams. And as LL3 would start the 1st, so would the Flames end it, as they would tie it up with 15 seconds left to go into the 2nd period.
The next frame continued in Flame's favor. They began to take the play of the game more, and would score 2 more. 3-1 Ayr. With a big rush up the ice, Wyatt S. would get his 1st goal of the year, cutting into the lead. A 3-2 score would go into the last period.
The Flames would keep getting chances, but our Goalie, Kelan E. would make many good & luck saves to keep his team in it. Ayr would score another, making it 4-2. Adam R. would score his 1st of the game with 3:26 left. The Flames answered back, retaking a 2 goal lead. Playing right to the end, Adam R. would get his second, but would not enough. The Ayr Flames would take a 5-4 win in Elmira.
