Game 2 vs. Tavistock
The Wildcats made their first road trip game to play against the Titans. Players & parents had to hustle to play a rare Friday night game. But once on the ice, LL1 was ready & raring to go!!
The first period was a back and forth affair. Brienne B. would start it off on her very first shift! 1-0 for Woolwich. Four minutes would go by before the Titans would score their 1st. Our team would answer back, with Thomas F. taking the puck the length of the ice and scoring his first goal. With only 6.8 seconds left in the game, Tavistock would score to take a 3-2 lead to end the period.
The teams would switch ends, & Coach Mike told encouraged our players to "keep playing hard". Two minutes into the 2nd, Tavistock would get another making it 4-2. Then with another big rush up the ice, Brienne would score her second. The game turned in the favor of the Titans, as they would score 3 unanswered goals to take a 7-3 lead.
The Wildcats worked hard into the 3rd, & Brienne would get one more goal for her hat trick! But Tavistock would keep their lead, getting 2 more also. A 9-4 loss would be how it would finish.
