The Minor Atom A Wildcats finished an amazing season on the weekend by winning the OMHA Championship. The team finished the season with a 56-4-8 record that included the boys playing their final 23 games of the season without a loss. The boys won the Regional Silver Stick tournament in Owen Sound in November and then went on to win the International Silver Stick tournament in Newmarket in January.

On Saturday afternoon in Barrie the Minor Atom A Wildcats completed an amazing season with a 4-3 OT win over the Barrie Colts to win the OMHA Championship. Congratulations to Justin, Liam, Elijah, Stuart, Pacey, Eric, Michael, Mitch, Andrew, Isaac, Nate, Ian, Brady, Evan and Tyler on an incredible accomplishment.

The Minor Atom A Wildcats had an incredible weekend at the International Silver Stick tournament in Newmarket. After winning their group with a perfect 4-0 record the boys beat Nickel City 6-3 in the semi-final to advance the championship game on Sunday morning against Woodstock. The boys came out flying in the final and defeated a very good Woodstock team 3-0. The celebrations included the team skating around the arena taking turns holding the silver stick over their heads. Congratulations boys on a fantastic tournament.

The Minor Atom A Wildcats had an amazing weekend in Owen Sound. After winning their group with a 2-0-1 record the boys beat the Markham Waxers 4-1 in the semi-final to advance the championship game Sunday morning against New Hamburg. In a very exciting final the Wildcats scored nine minutes into overtime to earn a hard fought 1-0 victory over the Huskies. The win earned the team a trip to International Silver Sticks in Newmarket in January. Well done boys.
