Game 16 vs Beverly 2
The Wildcats were back at the regular season after a weekend of being in The Woolwich tournament. The Beverly Bandits came to Elmira, looking to make the Novice standings a little closer before the end of the month.
Our Wildcats were full of jump to start the first. Lots of opportunities came on the sticks of our team. Midway through the frame, Riley D. would get one of his patented breakaways & score! It would be the only goal of the opening period. 1-0 Woolwich.
Period 2 would see the game begin to even out. The Bandits began to bring on their chances. Our goalie, Kyle Z. was having a great game. Making big stop after big stop. Beverly would break the tie, scoring at 5:11 of the period. The very same player, would get 2 more to give the Bandits a 3-1 lead.
Our boys were encouraged to 'Get Hungry for the puck', and they jumped back out for the 3rd. Tyler B. & Riley D. would continue to get chances, but not find the net. Beverly would have the better luck today, getting 3 more goals. There would be no quit in our boys, as Riley D. would get his second of the game. Final score Beverly 6, Wildcats 2.
