Game 9 vs. LL#1
The Wildcats had there next game versus...The Wildcats. It would be another derby game with LL#1 in Elmira, on a day when Santa Claus was coming through town...
There was much more to Saturday's game, as players and families were caught off guard by the parade. It caused for some extra excitement as some even had to get to the arena on foot! But as the game got started, our boys put everything out on the ice.
And so they did! As the 1st period saw LL#3 get going early. Tyson B. got the early first one, followed by Declan J., all in the 1st minute. Riley D. would get his big chance, & cash in too. A few minutes later, Declan found the net again. LL#1 would get a goal to make it 4-1. But our guys kept pushing on. Two more by Tyson B. would get LL#3 a 6-1 lead after the first period.
Period 2 cooled off a bit, but everyone continued to skate hard. Half way through, Carson S. got his first goal of the year! Then, in going to the net, Declan J. got his 3rd! A Hat Trick!
The 3rd period was still worthy of watching, while LL#1 got a second goal. The goal tending of Lucas S. really kept our team out in front. Tyson B. would also get another goal for his second of the day. A big day and a big 9-2 win for the Wildcats,.. over the Wildcats
