Minor Atom A Wildcats bring home Nations Cup Gold for Canada
The Minor Atom A Wildcats made Canada proud by bringing home the Gold medal from the Nations Cup Tournament held in Sterling Heights Michigan November 28-30.
As part of a dominant contingent of Minor Atom A teams from Canada in the Bronze pool, our Wildcats put up an impressive round robin performance notching 4 wins in 4 games outscoring opponents 25-1 and earning themselves a place in the final game versus the Plymouth Stingrays on November 30.
The final was a hotly contested affair that saw the Wildcats in tough for most of the game. With the other Canadian teams filling the rink and cheering them on with Canada flags waving, the boys posted a 3-0 win to secure the Nations Cup title for Canada.
Thanks go out to our training, coaching and management staff for all logistics leading up to and at the tournament and for preparing the boys for action in each game. Thanks are also extended to the social committee for organizing a great lunch and entertainment time for the team and all the siblings.
