2024/2025 U12 A Evaluations
Hello, my name is Rich Shantz and I will be the head coach of the U12A team for the 2024/2025 season. I'm looking forward to a year of development and growth for all players individually, however, am focused on promoting a strong team work ethic, with the mentality of playing for the name on the front of the jersey rather than the one on the back.

Each player must signup and pay the registration fee through the Hockey Canada Registration system prior to the first skate.
Upon arrival at the scheduled ice times, please visit the registration table to check in with WMH executive/team management where you will be given a jersey for the ice time. Jerseys are to be returned to the registration table at the end of each session. Please confirm what position you are trying out for as well as the way you shoot.
Players will be assessed by coaching staff and several non-bias evaluators based on skill, sportsmanship and overall knowledge of the game. Each player will have the opportunity to participate in two skates prior to any releases. If any player is unable to attend the scheduled ice times they may forfeit their opportunity to make the team.
Any cuts made from the A team will be released to the BB tryouts with the exception of any NRP player who is required to return to their home center. BB tryout schedule can be found on the WMH calendar.
All updates to the schedule or important information for families will be posted on the U12A website, including releases made. We understand that the evaluation process can be very stressful for families and I will be available for any feedback or concerns along the way so don't hesitate to reach out.

Sunday May 5th 11:00-12:00 WMC (skills evaluation)
Monday May 6th 6:00-7:00 @ New Hamburg (Wilmot Rec Centre) **Players will be notified who will be playing via website and are required to be at the arena 30 minutes before ice time.**
Tuesday May 7th 4:30-5:30 WMC (skills evaluation)
Friday May 10th 4:30-5:30 WMC (skills evaluation)
Saturday May 11th 4:00-5:00 @ WMC vs New Hamburg (Woolwich Memorial Centre) **Players will be notified who will be playing via website and are required to be at the arena 30 minutes before ice time.**
