Major Atom A, 2016-2017, Rep (Woolwich Minor Hockey)

The Major Atom A's had the privilege of visiting the Chartwell Retirement Home in Elmira on Saturday morning.  The boys served the residents coffee & tea, donuts & candy canes and spent time chatting and playing checkers and card games with many of the lovely ladies and gentlemen who live at Chartwell.  Thank-you very much to Chartwell for allowing us to spend time with you.  We had a great time.  Merry Christmas everyone. 

Socks are the most requested and least donated item at shelters throughout our Region. To help those in need in our community, our Major Atom A Wildcats took upon a challenge from Coach Marty to donate 200 pairs of socks to the ToastyToes2016 Charity. Players donated money that they had won at Sugar King games, gave up some of their savings, worked to earn money to donate or purchased socks.  In the end, the boys ended up with 300 pairs of socks to donate! Great job boys. 

Congratulations to the Major Atom A's on winning the Richmond Hill Early Bird tournament.  After going 3-0-1 and finishing first in Group A the boys beat Caledon 3-1 in the semi finals and then went on to beat Nickel City 5-2 in the finals.  Great job boys!!
