This Woolwich Sun Rays had a fun opportunity to share the ice with the Elmira Sugar Kings over the past weekend. On Saturday, January 20th, some of the Elmira Sugar Kings joined the Sun Rays for their practice. The Sugar Kings really energized the ice and got all the players hyped up and excited while playing, all while showing the players their tips and tricks for playing. On Sunday, January 22nd, the Sun Rays had a fun time playing a mini game during the 1st intermission of the Sugar Kings game. Over this past weekend, the Woolwich Sun Rays joined the Elmira community for its annual Santa Clause Parade. Crowds gathered all along the sides of Arthur Street and cheered on all the floats that passed by. The Sun Rays' float, decked out in Sun Rays jerseys and decorations, made its appearance near the very end of the parade (we can clearly see that they saved the best for last ;)). On November 25, the Woolwich Sun Rays played against the Guelph Giants at the West End Community Centre in Guelph. They players showed great teamwork skills and did a great job at cheering each other on. The score was very close in the end, but everyone came out with a smile on their face because they had FUN!  Final Score: Sun Rays: 2, Guelph Giants: 3. 

On November 18, the Woolwich Sun Rays met rival team Grey Bruce Falcons at McLeod Arena. All players showed excellent sportsmanship and thoroughly enjoyed their time on the ice. The Falcons swooped while the Sun Rays shone in this high scoring event. Final score: Sun Rays 7 Falcons 6.
