U9LL TEAM 1 CLAIMS SILVER IN BLUE & GOLD CLASSIC
STAND PROUD BOYS!
The U9LL Team 1 boys put on an incredible display of hard team work and sportsmanship this past weekend in Bradford for the Blue and Gold Classic Tournament.
After going 3-0 through the round robin, our dudes took Sunday morning's semi final game against The Beeton Stingers to clinch their third straight tournament final of the season.
Families watched anxiously as Woolwich and Cayuga stepped onto the ice for a 3 on 3 overtime after regulation ended with the game tied up at one a piece.
Despite Woolwich controlling the majority of the game, a fluke bounce in the extra frame trickled across our goal line and we were unable to celebrate our second gold of the season.
We were proud of the boys for standing tall following the game and acknowledging how well they played throughout the entire tournament.
1 gold and 2 silver medals on the season with one more tournament set for April.
Have yourselves a season boys, we couldn't have asked for a better squad!
