At this time, you can pre-register for the 2020-2021 season, but no fees will be collected as per the OMHA. 

Please select cheque option for payment to complete your pre-registration. Once we have an update from the OMHA to start collecting fees for the 2020-2021 season, we will send you an email with payment options. 

Q. When does registration open for this season? When does registration close?

A - Registration is open April 1st of each year and closes June 30th. If you already have an online HCR account, you can login, but you will not be able to see the registration options for until April 1st. 


Q. What are the registration rates?

A - The registration rates for 2020-2021 are:

Q. How do I register:

A - In order to register for Woolwich Minor Hockey, you must do so online on the Hockey Canada Registration system (Online Registration Link). Note that even if you have a login, you will not be able to register until April 1st.


Q. What if I can't register online? I keep getting error messages and/or I can't access my account because I forgot my login/password?

A. Unfortunately, we cannot help you troubleshoot your access to the Hockey Canada website. For privacy purposes, we don't know your User Login and we don't have access to your password.

If you still have issues with registering, we can send you a manual registration form. Please email Tracey at the Hockey Office and she will send you the form via email.

Q. What forms of payment do you accept?

A. As of 2017-2018 we accept payment by cheque or credit card. WE DO NOT ACCEPT CASH.

If you are paying by cheque, you have the option of providing postdated cheques, with the last possible day to postdate being August 1st. Cheques should be made payable to: WMHA.

We accept credit cards on the HCR registration system, HOWEVER, there is no postdated option for payment. If you plan to pay by credit card, you must pay in full at the time of registration. 


Q. I issued a post dated cheque, dated July 17th and it wasn't deposited until August 1st.....why?

A. We do not customize deposit dates to individual Registrants. We will deposit cheques on or around the following dates:

  • May 1st
  • May 15th
  • June 1st
  • June 15th
  • July 1st
  • July 15th
  • August 1st

Therefore if you postdate a cheque to July 17th, it won't be deposited on July 17th. It will be deposited in our next deposit cycle, which would be August 1st.

In addition, we can't deposit on Sundays or Statutory Holidays, so if one of our deposit dates listed above falls on a Sunday or Holiday, the cheque will be deposited the next business day.


Q. I  registered my child to play hockey but now he/she has decided they do not want to play - can I get a refund?

A. Prior to the season beginning, you are entitled to a full refund minus a $20 administration fee.

After the season begins, you are entitled to a prorated refund based on the number of ice times that have occurred, minus a $20 administration fee.

Q. Okay, I have registered - now what?

A. Please check our website regularly - we will be posting information regarding the start of the season, in mid to late August.

Q What night/date/time/location will be child be playing?

A. We will not know the schedule until mid to late August. We understand it makes it difficult to plan other activities for your child when you don't know their hockey schedule. Unfortunately, with 38 teams and over 600 registrants in multiple leagues, there are a lot of moving parts and it takes time after registration closes and all payments are received and cleared (after August 1st), for us to get the schedules organized and approved.


Q. The hockey season begins in two (2) weeks and I have not heard from a Coach or Manager to let me know when my child begins playing?

A. With over 600 Registrants in our system, our Volunteers are not able to contact each individual personally prior to the beginning of the season.

We strongly encourage you to check our website regularly for schedule updates and information.

Once your child has been assigned to a team, regular email/phone communication will commence between you and your Coach/Manager.
