The First Shift Program
Woolwich Minor Hockey is proud to have been chosen as a Host Centre for the Canadian Tire/Bauer First Shift Program for the 2017-18 season. 

The First Shift Program is designed to ensure a positive hockey experience for new-to-hockey families by offering a program that is accessible, affordable, safe and most importantly fun!

What you need to know if you are interested in joining the First Shift Program:
  • The Program is for anyone between the ages of 6 and 10 years old that has never previously played minor hockey
  • The cost of the program is $199 - which includes full Bauer equipment professionally fitted, a Welcome Event and 6 on ice sessions
  • The Program is offered in the Fall and Winter, with each session containing the aforementioned, 6 ice times 
  • The Program will begin with a Welcome Session, taking place on Tuesday, October 17th at the Woolwich Memorial Centre at 24 Snyder Ave. S., in Elmira - time to be determined and will be communicated to each registrant by email and posted on the First Shift section of our website
  • The first on ice session will take place on Saturday, Nov 4th, 2017
  • Each session will take place on Saturdays at 12 noon at the Woolwich Memorial Centre on the McLeod Ice Pad - on the following dates: Nov 4, Nov 11thNov 18th, Dec 2nd, Dec 9th and Dec 16th (please note, no session on Nov 25th due to the Woolwich Cup Challenge Tournament)
