WHA hosts Spring Tryout Prep Camp
Woolwich Minor Hockey is holding spring tryouts for the 2014-2015 season during April and May this year. After the AAA and AA tryouts in other centers are complete, Woolwich will run tryouts for A/AA teams from Major Novice to Major Bantam.

Woolwich Hockey Academy is offering a 6 session tune-up camp at the Woolwich Memorial Centre to get your player troyut-ready. Session dates are March 31, April 2, 3, 7, 9 and 10.

Overview

With 2014-15 try-outs right around the corner, WHA has pulled together 6 x 1.5 hour ice times to tune up your player's hockey skills. The ice times will consist of typical tryout drills that are designed to assess players' vital hockey skills:

  • Skating: stride, edgework, quick feet, pivoting
  • Shooting: forehand/backhand, wrist/snap/slap-shot, quick release

We will create a challenging and fun hockey experience. Players will be pushed to make uncomfortable skills comfortable.
