Very
happy to share that the U9LL boys have brought home the championship trophy
from their tournament in Halton Hills this weekend!
After
going 3-0 in a strong round robin performance, the team fought through the semi
finals against the Southwest Bullets - pulling away with three unanswered goals
in the third period after a 20 minute goaltending battle to take the game 4-1
and clinch their spot in the championship game.
Our
Wildcats faced off against the New Hamburg Huskies (team 2) from our regular
season circuit in a thrilling final where every member of the team played a
crucial role in a full-team defensive effort to hold onto a hard fought 2-1
lead that would hold until the final buzzer.
Congratulations
to our U9LL Team 1 boys on an incredible weekend and for bringing home some
hardware for Woolwich!
