2026 Women's Hockey Championship
We’re excited to reach out again as we prepare for the 2026 U SPORTS Women’s Hockey Championship, taking place March 19 - 22 in Elmira, hosted by the University of Waterloo. We are just under two months away! 

 

Our Organizing Committees have been working hard at planning many community focused initiatives as we look to grow the game with our See Them, Be Them championship theme. Check out the below opportunities and share within your networks!

 

Free Coaches Clinic 

· January 27, 7:00 - 9:00 pm (Columbia Icefield, University of Waterloo)

· Unlock new coaching tools, sharpen your approach, and learn directly from U SPORTS leaders during this clinic with both on-ice skill development and off-ice teaching

· Designed for ALL minor hockey association coaches

· Official Hockey Canada Professional Development credits will be awarded.

· Each participant will receive one complimentary championship day ticket sponsored by Doane Grant Thornton

Free Officials Clinic

· February 22, 8:00 am - 3:00 pm (Columbia Icefield, University of Waterloo)

· Open to new officials (male and female) 14 years of age or older

· Each participant will receive one complimentary championship day ticket sponsored by Doane Grant Thornton

Hockey Association Fundraising Program

· Enter your Community Ticket Code online in the designated Ticket Option called Community Code to unlock discounted ticket prices while ensuring a portion of your purchase goes back to the Association of your choice. 

· The association with the highest number of ticket sales will receive an additional $1,000

· Your Community Code is your Association Name (Example: Waterloo Ravens or Woolwich Wild )

Flag Bearer Program

· Applications open February 4 for a chance to be a pre-game flag bearer!

· Open to all local youth

· Opportunity includes a free ticket for the participant and their guardian along with a special gift sponsored by Tri-Mach Group

 

Intermission Scrimmage Opportunities 

· Applications open February 4 for a chance to be one of the lucky teams to play an inter-squad game during one of the four quarterfinal intermissions

· Opportunity includes 60 free group tickets for players and guests sponsored by Farm Mutual Re

Volunteer Opportunities

· We're currently recruiting over 200 volunteers!

Free Community Skates

· Join us for a free skate at the Woolwich Memorial Centre

o   Thursday, March 19 at 4:30 - 6:30

o   Friday, March 20 at 4:30 - 6:30
