Tri-County Adopts TheOneDB Scheduling System
The Tri-County league has adopted a new tool for this year’s standings
& schedules called TheOneDB. This new tool has many benefits such as the near real-time updates of
standings throughout the season. What you see on the site today is an ongoing process that will take place throughout the summer.
With the exception of the Tryout schedule (which is now firm), please understand that you should not be making any plans based on the
schedules you see until the schedule has been completed. Your coach
will advise your team when this is the case.
This new system is very efficient because it is also very transparent. Because it is so transparent, you will have insights into the scheduling process that you have not had before and will be able to see the initial versions of your schedule much earlier than in the past. But we emphasize the word “initial” because the schedules are always subject to change – especially in the early stages before the season starts.
The schedulers from every association will be working hard over the summer to address all the conflicts that exist – and there are many. There are just over 5,000 games in the Tri-County schedule, and each year as many as 2,000 of those games will be re-scheduled due to various conflicts or weather. It is a very large and time-consuming process for each scheduler, so coaches are asked to refrain from contacting your scheduler until it is much closer to completion. Your scheduler is working hard on your behalf to ensure your schedule has as few conflicts as possible – please give them the time and space to do so.
