NHLPA DAN SNYDER MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP FOUNDATION
The NHLPA Dan Snyder Memorial Scholarship is now accepting applications for the 2023 scholarships. As in past years there have been recipient from each of the following three categories: “Elmira Sugar Kings”, “Woolwich Minor Hockey” and “Woolwich Community at Large”.

In October 2003, local hockey hero Dan Snyder succumbed to injuries as a result of a car crash in Atlanta, Georgia. In Dan’s memory, funds were raised by the NHLPA and other donors and in 2004 the NHLPA Dan Snyder Memorial Scholarship Fund was born.

We are currently soliciting nominations of candidates who are residents of the Township of Woolwich who display Dan’s characteristics of determination, desire, good sportsmanship and community involvement. All successful candidates must be enrolled in a qualified accredited post secondary institution and funds are deposited directly to the school the recipient will attend that fall, under the direction of the K-W Community Foundation. 

Applications can be found at www.kwcf.ca/dansnyderaward. Applications will be accepted until July 14, 2023 and can be mailed to or dropped off at the following address:
