Welcome Letter
Hello, and welcome to the 2021-22 Woolwich Wildcats U13 “A” Season.

My name is Mike Brito, and I will be the Head Coach for the upcoming season.

There will be 2 Pre-Tryout Skills skates before the tryout process begins.  The first Pre-Tryout Skills skate will be on Tues Sept 21st from 7-8:30pm in St. Jacobs.  The second Pre-Tryout Skills skate will be on Thurs Sept 23rd from 7-8:30pm on the McLeod ice pad at the Woolwich Memorial Centre.

The first tryout ice time is scheduled for Fri Sept 24th from 7:30 – 8:30pm on the Snyder ice pad at Woolwich Memorial Centre.  Please check the website beforehand as tryout dates and/or times may change.

Non-Resident Players are welcome to participate in the Pre-Tryout Skills skates and the Tryouts.  Non-Resident Players must present their permission to skate form upon arrival before they will be permitted to participate in the Pre-Tryout Skills and Tryouts.

All players must be registered for hockey and have completed the Tryout Pass before they will be permitted to participate in the Pre-Tryout Skills and Tryouts. Both of those can be done through your HCR 3.0 account. The cost for the Tryout Pass is $50.  Cash will NOT be accepted at the arena.

Upon arrival for the first Tryout ice time, players must report to the sign in table to receive their assigned jersey, which must be returned at the end of each tryout.  Also, please ensure you receive a tryout letter for further information about the tryout schedule and process.

Players will be permitted to enter the arena 20 minutes prior to the scheduled ice time. Please be sure to keep your child at home and notify myself immediately if your child is experiencing any symptoms of Covid-19 and/or is sick. Players are to be dressed and ready to go on the ice 5 minutes prior to each tryout ice time to allow time for the coaches to go over instructions with the players before hitting the ice.

Players are expected to put forth their best efforts throughout the tryout process.  Players are also encouraged to come to the rink with a positive attitude, ready to work hard, and have fun.

Please be sure to check the WMHA Website for information regarding the OMHA Covid-19 Vaccination Policy, the 2021-22 OHF Return To Hockey Framework, and the facility rules for St. Jacobs and WMC.

Should you have any questions, I can be reached via email at [email protected] or cell phone at 519-502-8541.
