Game 14 vs Plattsville
The Wildcats traveled to the big town of Plattsville for the last game of 2013. Everyone was full of leftover Christmas joy, and good & ready to put it out on the ice. With playing 3 consecutive tie games, LL#1 was due for something different.

Every new game is a new opportunity. That was the approach to game 14. Our boys came out with good jump and puck pursuit. There were many chances in the 1st period, but the first goal would come at the 3:49 mark. The puck came back to Colton at the point, who gave it one of his patented 'flips' up in towards the goal. This one went all the way to the crease, bouncing through the goalie. Off the next faceoff, Mac charged in with a shot, & Turner cleaned up the rebound. And with only seconds gone by, Ryan S. found his way to the net, assisted by Logan for a 3-0 lead after one.

Coach Jeff gathered everyone at the bench to begin the 2nd period. "Don't let up Boys" he said, and they sure didn't! Again Mac dangled his way in with a shot, leaving another loose rebound that Turner cleaned up. 4-0. Next up was Braxten, with a wrap around goal. After that shift, Braxten was out with Turner who got his 3rd goal of the game. A few minutes and few more shifts would go by, but there was #12 again putting in his second goal. That was followed by a clean up goal by Logan to finish the period. A 10-0 lead.

The 3rd started with the puck going down into our end, chased down by Colton. Around the back of the net he went, and kicked it into high gear down the ice! Weaving his way in for a shot, getting his 2nd goal of the game. The Wildcats continued with more 2 more goals from Ryan S., 2 more from Mac, & his 3rd of the game from Braxten. Plattsville would break the shutout with 1:27 remaining, on a break in that caught the defense off guard. Final score would be 16-1. A well needed change.
